The Upper Dolpo region is another remote hidden destination in far west where Nepal's most tranquil and natural beauty is still unexplored. The home of herbal land, unspoiled trans-Himalayan culture, Buddhist monuments, unique human civilization at high altitude is worth a visit. Trekking around the Dolpo region is an unforgettable journey in every visitor's life. Observing different rain shadow landscapes with stunning mountain views, wild flowers, Himalayan blue sheep, snow leopards, and huge birds Himalayan griffon. It's difficult to grow crops there, which makes life difficult for the local people, so most of them are involved in the salt trade from Tibet, this traditional culture continue in Doplo generation to generation.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu airport then transfer to hotel after check in hotel meet trekking and crew then welcome dinner.
Day 02: Kathmandu half day sightseeing and preparation trekking equipments and gears.
Day 03: Kathmandu to Drive or fly to Nepalgunj (western part of Nepal) then overnight at hotel or camp.
Day 04: Nepalgunnj Fly to Juphal (Dopla) trek Dunai about 4 and half hours then overnight at camp.
Day 05: Dunai trek to Hankhe about 4 and half hours then overnight at camp.
Day 06: Hankhe trek to Reiji about 4/5 hours then overnight at camp..
Day 07: Reiji trek to Phoksundo Lake (3600m) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 08: Rest day and explore around Phoksundo Lake.
Day 09: Phoksundo Lake trek to Lake Beach about 5 hour then overnight at camp.
Day 10: Lake Beach trek to Mandala Camp (4,570m) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 11: Mandala Camp trek to Kang La (5,240m) pass Shey Gompa (4280m.) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 12: Shey Gompa trek to Saldang pass (5010m)- Namgung (4,380m) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 13: Namgung trek to -Yanger Gompa (3890m) about 5 hours then overnight at camp..

Day 19: Charka trek to Yak Kharka (4780m ) about 5 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 20: Yak Kharka trek to Sangda pass (5490m) then trek to Sangda phedi (5110m) about 6/7 hours then overnight at camp.
Day 21: Sangda phedi trek to Sangda (3909m) about 5 hours then overnight at camp
Day 22: Sangda trek to Phale Gaon (2900m) about 5/6hours then overnight at camp.
Day 23: Phale Gaon trek to Jomsom (2710m) about 3/4 hours.
Day 24: Fly from Jomsom – Pokhara then overnight at hotel near by Fewa Lake.
Day 25: Pokhara drive or fly to Kathmandu.
Day 26: fly to home or connecting onward journey.
Team Membership
For the Upper Dolpo Trekking we will take minimum 2 trekkers and maximum of 20 trekkers.
Fitness and what to expect
We are travelling in high and remote terrain at moderately high altitudes. Members will best have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy the experience to its fullest. The trails are sometimes steep and a couple of the trek days quite long (about 6 hours). Weather can deteriorate and rain, strong winds and even some snow are possible. However we are travelling at a mild time of the year to best appreciate the surroundings.
Hotel
There are every category of accommodation facilities that range from the international standard star hotels to budget hotels and lodges; therefore the hotel reservation is not a difficult task. You can make reservation as per you budget. 'Himalayan Idol ' is ready to make any arrangement for you as per your wish, desire and budget.
Food
Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.
In the Upper Dolpo Trekking we will be dining in the Lodge.
