Helambu Valley Trek is one of the nearest treks from Kathmandu. The trek offers considerable spectacular views of mountains, meadows, forests, different wild animals, birds, glaciers and many more. Cheese factories, monasteries, and other monuments are other specialties of this trek. Helambu, about 72 kms north-east of Kathmandu, is noted for its scenic grandeur and pleasant climate. The additional attractions of the trek are the spectacular views of the Langtang (7245m), Ganesh Himal (7405m), Dorje Lhakpa (6990m) and other small mountains of Langtang Himalayan range. We also find many Buddhist Monasteries, unique and enchanting landscape, dense rhododendron forest and age-old traditional culture.

Day 01: Arrival Kathmandu airport then transfer to hotel after check in hotel meet guide and trekking crew then welcome dinner

Day 02: Drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal about 1/2 hours then trek to Chisapani overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 03: Chisapani trek to Kutumsang about 6 hrs then overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 04: Kutumsang trek to Thadepati about 5 hours then overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 05: Thadepati trek to Melamchigaon about 3 hours then overnight in teahouse or camp

Day 06: Melamchigaon trek to Tarkeghyang about 5 hours then overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 07: Tarkeghayang trek to Shermanthang about 5 hrs and overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 08: Shermanthang trek to Melamchipul about 6 hrs then overnight in teahouse or camp.

Day 09: Melamchipul drive to Kathmandu then overnight at hotel.

Day10: Fly back home or connecting onward journey.

Team Membership

For the Helambu Trekking we will take minimum 2 trekkers and maximum of 20 trekkers.

Fitness and what to expect

We are travelling in high and remote terrain at moderately high altitudes. Members will best have a moderate level of fitness to enjoy the experience to its fullest. The trails are sometimes steep and a couple of the trek days quite long (about 6 hours). Weather can deteriorate and rain, strong winds and even some snow are possible. However we are travelling at a mild time of the year to best appreciate the surroundings.

Hotel

There are every category of accommodation facilities that range from the international standard star hotels to budget hotels and lodges; therefore the hotel reservation is not a difficult task. You can make reservation as per you budget. 'Himalayan Idol ' is ready to make any arrangement for you as per your wish, desire and budget.

Food

Food will be of the highest standard possible, given the remoteness of the situation. Please inform us if you have any special dietary requirements.

In the Helambu Trekking we will be dining in the Lodge.

Price Include :

1. Pick & Drop to Airport / 1night hotel in Kathmandu as per our corresponding.
2. Kathmandu - Lukla - Kathmandu Flight Ticket
3. Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing with Tour guide as per itinerary.
4. 3 meals a day (Breakfasts, Lunch and Dinners with tea or coffee) during the trek
5. Accommodation in the mountain lodges or guesthouses in twin sharing bases during the trek.
